School Meals

City Catering

Stoke on Trent City Catering provide the meals for our academy. They provide quality, value for money meals, which meet statutory food standards.

Academy Lunch Menu

Our Menu operates on a three week rolling programme. Each menu has a list of week commencing dates printed on it to help you to find the correct week. Throughout the year we also offer a range of celebratory menus to add interest and variety to the lunchtime experience. These special menu days will be advertised on the Weekly Newsletter.

Our Menus

  • are designed to give a variety of flavour, colour, texture and appearance and support the issues of good nutrition taught through the curriculum.
  • are compliant with School Food Legislation.
  • use only approved products in dishes offered.
  • wherever possible use fresh produce which is delivered to site daily including fruit, vegetables, meat and locally baked bread.

If your child has any special dietary requirements please contact the Academy office on 01782 234544.

If you require any help or guidance on healthy and nutritious packed lunches for children who bring a lunch from home to eat in school (or on school trips), please visit Healthy lunch box ideas  for healthy choices and pack up ideas.

Free School Meals

All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal (called Universal Free School Meals).

Any pupil, regardless of year group, may be entitled to funding because their parents/carers are eligible for free school meal funding. This is a different type of funding from the Universal Free School meals and provides the school with a high level of funding regardless of whether your child has a school meal or not.

Free school meals are available to children of families who are in receipt of:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • an income-related employment and support allowance
  • support under part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) that does not exceed £16,190

If you think you may be eligible please call in to the school office where staff will assist you in completing the relevant forms.
