Our Governors

I currently work for Stoke On Trent Council, working alongside communities and partners. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. I have a daughter in Key Stage 1. I am a governor as I want to help the academy to be the best it can be and for all children to achieve to the best of their ability and succeed throughout their time at Packmoor.

S. Sharman, Packmoor Ormiston Academy, Carr Street, Packmoor, SOT, ST7 4SP

I have worked in Stoke-On-Trent for four years and I currently have the great privilege of being Principal at Ormiston Horizon Academy. I really enjoy working with young people and developing their aspirations. I am a sports fanatic with a keen interest in rugby and triathlons. Serving the Packmoor community is something that I am passionate about and determined to do it well.

I have been the Principal at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2012, prior to that I was a headteacher at another local school in Stoke on Trent. I have worked in Education for over twenty years, predominantly in Stoke, Staffordshire and Cheshire.

I am a CIMA Management Accountant with 20 years’ experience, having spent the last 15 in retail.  I am a parent governor and have a lot of experience from a parent’s view of the school as I have 2 daughters who have been right through from Nursery to Year 6 and are now at Ormiston Horizon.  I also have 2 sons who are currently at Packmoor in Foundation and KS1.  All of my children have enjoyed their time at Packmoor and I hope to support the school wherever possible.

I currently work at Ormiston Horizon Academy as an LSP. I have three children within the school from Reception through to Year 5 who all enjoy attending the school. I am a parent governor as I want to support the school where possible. I believe that all children should enjoy their time at school and be provided with the opportunities to achieve their own academic and personal goals

I have eighteen years’ experience as a Primary teacher, four of which were spent at Packmoor Ormiston Academy. Currently, I work as their independent Clerk to the Governors. In addition to this, I work for Cheshire East Council as a Clerk to the Governors within Children’s Services, coordinating the governing boards of seven different CE schools.

I have worked at Packmoor school for almost 9 years now and I am currently a Reception class teacher.  I started my career at Packmoor as a 1:1 support assistant and covered year groups from Nursery through to year 2. Alongside working at school, I am also studying for a degree to further my knowledge and support me in my role as a class teacher.   I am the very proud mum of two children who both attended Packmoor and are now doing well at high school.  When I am not being mum’s taxi, or studying for my degree, I enjoy going for long walks in the countryside with my husband and dog

I have been a member of the Packmoor family for over four years, currently serving as both the Phonics and History Lead. My roles bring me immense satisfaction as I actively foster a lifelong passion for reading and facilitate an engaging exploration of the past for our students. Committed to continuous personal development, I am presently studying for an NPQ. Beyond the classroom, my time is devoted to my wife and children. We relish embarking on exciting day trips, whether to the zoo or theme parks, creating cherished memories together.
